Canon introduced the usage of Bubble Jet Technology in ink jet printer by the BJ-80 in 1985. And it was followed by BJC-820 as 1st full color inkjet printer in 1992.
The Pixma series of digital camera printer is marketed in 2004 using ChromaLife 100 system and two years later Selphy ES 1 Compact Photo Printer was born. Canon put some effort to develop Digital Camera Photo Printer along with their invention in Canon Digital Camera. Selphy CP 780 and ES 30 are two of the examples of Canon Compact Photo Printer.
