The Beatles Remastered Vinyl Records
Many music lovers think that vinyl is the ultimate way to listen to an album. These people believe there is a magic to watching the record spin and knowing that the amazing sound you are hearing is coming from the needle rather than a series of 1s and 0s.
It’s this “magic feeling” (to quote “You Never Give Me Your Money” that has Beatles junkies very excited about the rumors of The Beatles 2009 remasters making their way to vinyl LPs in in March of 2010. Although as of this writing no date for release has been officially set, it’s believed that Apple Corps. is working on a Vinyl record release of The Beatles stereo remasters but there’s no indication that the mono remasters will also be released on vinyl.
The Beatles vinyl LPs that are available now were made using the 1987 digital remasters so these 2010 vinyl records should be significantly improved in sound quality like the new compact discs are when compared to the 1987 compact discs.
I am going to be ordering The Beatles Vinyl LP Box Set as soon as it is available to order (as I’m sure it’ll sell out fast) despite the fact that I have already bought all of these 2009 remasters on CD.
According to the information that I have seen, the new Beatles vinyl LPs will be available both individually and in a vinyl box set The current rumored date for release is 3/16/2010 but there’s a good possibility that will not end up as the final release date.
In the meantime I strongly recommend that you buy The Beatles Stereo CD Box Set and The Beatles Mono Box Set. They both sound incredible. I end up listening to stereo mixes more commonly (as I just like hearing music in stereo more than in mono, in general) but that being said, the mono remasters are interesting.
